Dr. Kevin LockhartDr. Kevin Lockhart received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from California State University, Fullerton in 1985. He later earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Visual Psychophysics, and in 1989, he completed the Doctor of Optometry degree at the Southern California College of Optometry, cum laude.
Dr. Lockhart completed externship training with the U.S. Air Force Optometry Service and the Veterans Administration Medical Center in West Los Angeles, California. |
cCertified by the California State Board of Optometry in the treatment and management of ocular disease, Dr. Lockhart has completed clinical enhancement programs in vision therapy and in the treatment and management of glaucoma.
He was sponsored by Bausch + Lomb as a research partner in studies involving bi-focal and astigmatism contact lenses. Dr. Lockhart has extensive experience working with the area's top refractive surgeons and is certified by the Pacific Laser Eye Center in the co-management of Lasik surgery.
Dr. Lockhart is a member of Lions Club International, an organization dedicated to helping the blind. He was presented with the Melvin Jones Fellow Award for outstanding humanitarian services. He is also a life member of Canine Companions for Independence, an organization that provides seeing-eye dogs for the blind. He has participated in Vision USA, a program for underprivileged children and works with the Eureka school district, providing free exams and eyeglasses to students in need.
While Dr. Lockhart loves serving patients in our community, he also has a passion to serve those in need around the world. Dr. Lockhart has served on numerous trips around the world in partnership with his church Pathway Fellowship, the Lions Club and other organizations. He has provided hundreds of free eye exams and eyeglasses around the globe for those who would otherwise not receive treatment. Dr. Lockhart lives in Granite Bay with his wife Vicki and their daughter Jane. When he is not at home with his family, you can usually find him participating in some kind of sport, such as snowboarding, wakeboarding, mountain biking, or soccer.
